I observed the stylist working on my hair lacked expertise and knowledge. Opted for just a blowout and conditioning treatment instead of the originally booked color. I empathize with her and the other students. Noticed several students facing challenges.
Initial experience was about 1 star, but day 2 was a 5-star improvement. Day 1 appointment was awful. Came in for a platinum retouch, quoted $79 in person instead of the online $60. Ended up paying $79 + $35 for toner and tip. Shouldn't toner be included in the quote? Used 3 bowls of bleach for a retouch, which seems excessive. Couldn't tone my hair that night, scalp was burning. Day 2 with Cassie as the student and Janelle as the teacher was fantastic. They didn't charge me for toner, as my scalp was still burning and they found leftover bleach in my hair. Now have scabs on the back of my neck. Cassie did an excellent job toning my hair cooler than any stylist before. She's a 10/10.
Visited in November for a cut & color. Left feeling very dissatisfied. Color was uneven and the haircut was a disaster. Requested 1 inch off, but she took off 5! How does one make such a huge mistake? Also, asked for a V-cut but got a straight cut with unwanted layers. Been growing my hair for months and still far from original length. They are inexpensive for a reason. Invest a bit more and visit a professional salon! These individuals lack expertise and behave like high schoolers.
