Kevin has been my go-to hairstylist for as long as I can recall. He was the one who gave me my very first haircut, and now, at the age of 20, I still trust him with my hair. Despite trying other salons in the area for the sake of convenience, I always find myself returning to Kevin. He's not only a genuinely nice person but also fantastic with children. Whenever I'm in town, I make sure to visit him because I know he'll do an excellent job. I initially had a slightly unpleasant encounter with whoever returned my phone call to schedule. I followed up with the owner to address this issue. Sharlene did respond to me. I went ahead and booked a body contouring service and was highly impressed with Sharlene's expertise. My first service with Sharlene, the owner, was a facial. She did such a thorough job that I booked another facial for next month. I love supporting both African American-owned businesses and female entrepreneurs! I had my hair styled on the 12th of September 2016. Unfortunately, I didn't inspect it closely after it was done. The next morning, I noticed that it wasn't well done at all. My spouse also noticed and questioned if that was the quality I paid for. The braids appeared worn out, as if they had been in for days. When I arrived at work on Monday, a colleague had the same style done and it looked neat. When she inquired about the stylist, I mentioned the salon I visited. She seemed surprised that I paid for that service. Feeling dissatisfied, I called the salon that afternoon to express my disappointment. The receptionist promised to inform the manager and have him contact me. After not receiving a call by Wednesday, I followed up. The person who answered said the manager wasn't available but assured me they would pass on my message. Despite multiple attempts to reach the manager, I received no resolution. Disappointed by the lack of customer service, I have decided not to return.
