The sign outside indicated that walk-ins were welcome, so I decided to enter. The strong scent of smoke and nail polish greeted me, but I pushed through. As I sat down, I struck up a conversation with the woman beside me who had also walked in. She had been waiting for an hour and a half, but it had turned into a two-hour wait with no end in sight. I made the decision that it wasn't worth waiting any longer in that unpleasant environment on a Saturday afternoon.
