I have been seeing Candy for my acrylics for 2 years and won't go anywhere else! I moved to Maryland this summer and still drive up to Pennsylvania just to see her. Everyone always comments on how amazing my nail designs are. I typically bring a reference photo so we're on the same page but if I just have an idea, she can bring my vision to life.

This was actually my first time at any LA Nails salon! I requested Candy after seeing all of the amazing reviews for her on Google. I love how cute my nails turned out to be! :) I'm so so sorry again for not being more prepared with reference photos for the smiley faces, Candy. :( I could see that you were visibly annoyed by that and you sounded annoyed, too, so I super appreciate your patience with me regardless of that! It's been a while since I've had acrylics let alone gone to a nail salon (I used to go all the time several years back) so I'm very rusty lol. Candy was sweet to me besides that and made sure to ask for my opinions along the way. When it came time to dry/set the acrylic and gel polish under the UV lights, she pointed to the sides (left/right) instead of either pointing at the actual UV machines or verbalizing what I needed to do, so I was very confused and felt like I was a burden for not understanding her nonverbal pointing right away. The reasons I did not give a full five star review are: 1) the table wasn't brushed off from the previous client so my hands and nails were resting in their nail/acrylic shavings for a bit which was very unsanitary, and 2) Candy's palpable aggravation with me not having references. But besides that, I had an okay experience getting my nails done here while watching Frozen and giggling with Candy about the goofy scenes. :) I would like to come back since it's close to home, but I don't want to feel like a burden again for wanting to get my nails done, so I thank you for taking me as a new client and

I was debating on writing this review because I didn't want to be mean, but I had the worst experience here. I went in, scheduled appointment, and told the individual doing my nails what I wanted and even provided a picture. Not only did they give me nails that CURVED up but they were thick and blocky and every time I tried to made a correction such as asking them to make the free edge STRAIGHT instead of diagonal, they would say I'm being picky and being hard on them. I'm asking for the bare minimum here. We got to a point where the polish wasn't even on my nail and I asked if starting over with a different technique would be easier and they said no (which I understand because I'm sure only a certain time is allotted etc.) I left so unhappy at these $70 nails, it looked like I did them MYSELF and I hate the fact that I tipped the individual STILL bc I recognized time and material spent. I wish I could get a refund. I went to a different salon the NEXT day and got that set removed and new one placed. I will not be coming back here again, this service was expensive, disrespectful and mediocre. I know things are inflated these days and I understand that, but I wish I had a stronger spine to just have said no thanks and get a refund or something. This was so frustrating and disappointing. If they were open Sundays I'd have gone in to get some sort of resolution, but they're not and something tells me I wouldn't have been happy with the outcome. Pic one is the reference pic, and the rest are pics of the set I was given. *note I did not want rhinestones and I did not want glossy finish. I wanted matte*
