I had high expectations for my balayage transformation when I scheduled an appointment at Addie Mae's Hair Salon, especially after seeing promising examples on their social media. Unfortunately, my experience fell short in multiple aspects.
Communication was lacking from the beginning. Addie hardly interacted with me and failed to initiate conversation or address my concerns during the lengthy three-hour session. Her social awkwardness and inability to explain her process left me feeling disconnected and uninformed.
Despite clearly stating my desire for significant lightening and specific color placement, Addie provided a result that was far from what I had envisioned. Instead of the sun-kissed balayage I wanted, I ended up with basic foil highlights. When I pointed out the discrepancy, she was dismissive and unwilling to admit the mistake.
To make matters worse, Addie tried to blame me for not providing reference photos earlier, despite our initial discussion where I shared my preferences. Her insistence on charging the full amount for a service I did not receive, along with her refusal to take accountability, left me feeling frustrated and unsatisfied.
In the end, I am left with hair that not only misses the mark on my expectations but also requires additional time and money to correct. The lack of responsibility and poor communication demonstrated by Addie Mae's Hair Salon is unacceptable, and I cannot in good conscience recommend their services to others.
