I had a preliminary discussion with my stylist, Christy, who outlined a plan to apply 10 foils for a quick touch-up on my hair highlights. She recommended coming in on Tuesdays for discounts, with appointments only available on a same-day basis or for walk-ins. Due to time constraints following my husband's recent heart treatment, I visited on a Tuesday. Despite the prior consultation, Christy changed her approach, insisting only a full foil was an option. This sudden shift felt like a manipulative tactic, which I expressed my displeasure about. Christy reacted defensively and aggressively, leading me to apologize and comply with her demands to ensure my hair looked presentable for work. Her demeanor turned abrasive, unfriendly, and curt. Concerned about the outcome, given her hostile behavior, I remained quiet and cooperative due to my husband's health issues at home. The foils were uneven and poorly blended in certain areas, while the haircut was shorter and more uneven than requested. It was an unpleasant and challenging experience overall. I typically tip at least $20 for highlights, but this time, I left no tip at all to reflect the poor service and results, as well as Christy's attitude towards me.
Scheduling an appointment through the website was quick and easy. However, upon arriving early, I still had to wait for my haircut. Once seated, the stylist inquired about my preferences, but the end result didn't quite match what I had in mind. The service felt rushed and hurried, possibly due to the noon appointment time or standard practice. While the hairstylist was easy to converse with, it was evident she was overwhelmed. I would like to give them another chance in the future, but today's experience left me feeling disappointed, as if I were an inconvenience to their schedule.
I've been frequenting this spot for 6 or 7 years, maybe even longer, always ensuring that Delores is on duty. She exudes professionalism and kindness, maintaining a positive attitude while deftly styling my hair to perfection. Thank you, Delores, for years of impeccable cuts.
