I was really looking forward to treating myself and my partner to a luxurious manicure and pedicure at Marlowe, but I ended up feeling let down. My nail tips were rough and unevenly shaped, and despite the nice nail art, it didn't match the sample I showed. When I got home two hours later and rinsed my hands, the nail art just peeled off. I had a delightful haircut by Nick at Keter salon a few months ago. He went above and beyond in one aspect that will have a lasting impact on my life - he noticed an unusual mole on the back of my ear and advised me to have it examined. At just 29 years old, it turns out the mole was invasive melanoma. Following a couple of procedures, and a slightly smaller ear later (some cartilage had to be removed for reconstruction after excising tissue around the melanoma), I am good to go!! Had this not been detected until it was over 1 mm thick, I might have lost my ear. If it had gone unnoticed for even longer, I would have been battling a highly aggressive/sometimes fatal form of cancer. Thanks to Nick, I'll be back to my active lifestyle in a matter of days!
