I've known Max for a long time, a solid individual who does incredible work on people's hair. He truly has magical hands. I just hope one day I can be half the stylist he is. Kudos, my friend!
I feel compelled to provide this feedback, hoping that my honesty will aid in your growth. My 17-year-old son discovered Shan through an online platform. He was seeking a stylist to create two intricate braids in his hair. Despite this style being relatively simple, Shan displayed a lack of skill in executing it. It was evident from the uneven hair sections and failure to pre-part the hair properly before starting the style. When I pointed out the difficulties, Shan became defensive. I allowed my son to handle the situation as a learning experience. Unfortunately, the end result was disappointing - bumpy, uneven, and with a crooked part. To my surprise, I later found that Shan had used a photo of my son's hairstyle on their online profile, indicating a lack of experience in this particular style. Furthermore, Shan charged an extra $5, claiming it was their day off despite suggesting the appointment time. My son paid $70 for a subpar hairstyle that took an excessive 3.5 hours to complete. It was amateurish and certainly not worth the price.
